To appear successful during an interview, the DOs are:

The Interview MUST be an Interviewee driven one

One Must look absolutely Confident

Must exhibit very good and effective communication skills

Show the ability to clearly and correctly understand the question of the interview

1st impression normally is the last impression, so while walking in, you should be very firm, confident and having a bold smile on you face

Show strong eye contact with the interviewer/s

Should be present minded and sharp in replying

Must wear proper attire suitable for the job. Must be clean and neat.

Show your seriousness for getting that job

The DONTs could be:

Dont talk too much while replying a question. Dont just beat about the bushes in your answers.

Dont show as if you dont care whether you get that job or not

Dont come in casual dress

Dont use any reference

Dont let the interview be an Interviewer driven one.

Concerning the DO's, an applicant should first come earlier to the place of interview in order to be much more at ease in terms of respiration as it ultimately affects his/her confidence and concentration. Psychologically speaking, the applicant reflects good and positive energy, then impression through open chest and arms, straight back, peaceful looks: a good eye contact can lead to a successful interview: you have to look in the eye of the other person so that you seem careful and with a goal.of course a smile on the face never hurts " If you smile at someone, they might smile back"; this means transfer of positivity around and you feel within the comfort zone.

On the other hand, regarding the DON'Ts, at the level of body language, don't over-react! don't be so still that you seem frozen and worried! don't shake that you seem disrespectful! looking around or stressing your eyes on something-avoiding eye contact- may be frustrating. don't try to lessen your stress by   chew gum, crossing or tapping on the table! don't get a shaky voice! don't stumble or bend in a begging way for the post: it is desperate!don't address your interviewer in a friendly way! it is formal! bear this in mind! you will not seem cool and funny, just the opposite!!don't wear casual!

To sum up, Self-esteem and confidence in your skills must be well-reverberated.No room for worries, not necessarily the first interview we get must be successful! we all get through hardships! so a balanced50/50 expectations should be put on a certain interview!
