  1. Connect Adwords & Analytics
  2. Measure the performance of Ads via Analytics and identify the least performing campaigns or keywords
  3. Find the reasons for bad performance. It can be due to high page load time or wrong ad-texts/landing pages.
  4. Refer search queries in Webmaster tools if the issues due to poor keyword selections. Find out what users are searching for to reach your website and apply same keywords as your SEM keywords as well (bid for those & its related keywords).
  5. Make sure to highlight your LP call to action more prominent & informative enough to satisfy users.
  6. Write appropriate ad texts for your landing pages.

By doing these, I am sure you can improve the performance of your paid campaigns.
