Rounding numbers in Excel can be accomplished using a number of different functions depending on the results you want.
For example, the INT function can be used to round a number down to the next lowest integer while removing the decimal portion of a number.
Unlike formatting option that allow you change the number of decimal places displayed by your data, the INT function actual alters the data in your worksheets.
Using this function can, therefore, affect the results of calculations.
Mr. Fetah Mohamed.
I agree with your explanation.
Practically i have come across difficulty explained by you for an Inventory updation in the system using excel sheet for the template.
I agree with your answer completely brother Fattah
I agree with you Fetah,
Formatting doesn't change values, only functions do.
I agree with most of answers provided
functions will round off the numbers after digit and will change the value. formatting will only delete the numbers after the digit.
