convincing is the hardest thing to do.
your presentation & orientation will make it easy for you..
Don't ever try to push the customer to believe you.your way of talking will tell him what you are and whom you are representing.

If your product or service you provide doesn't speak for itself and stand out from the rest of the competitors , the support services you provide can convince any customer that you are on top in your field , all you need to do is focus on customer's need and make him feel that he will never be alone if he ever needed support .
use all customer service techniques to resolve the customer issue , answer his inquiry or help him reach the outcome needed all will result into customer satisfactions which will cause general satisfactions with the product / service your company provide

If you are better then your competitor then state it as a fact in front of the customer and fact don't need justification to support.
In my opinion never try to over-sale the product but spend more time addressing customer need and differentiate yourself to the competition in positive manner help win customer trust.
I guess that why the term 'USP' get into existence you should always know what is USP of your company and build your talk on that.
