Just Read it Once Again - Make Notes like this and do it without thinking the next time - You Will Hit the Rocks & Recommendations will start pouring in for you as a Writer who could understand far better than the Original .

(i) Good Points to be referred ,

(ii) Your Suggestions ,

(iii) A Story  Summarized ( like a Gist ) - In150 Words

My View - Don't blame Me please - If no-one turns & recommends you instead be a Silent Spectator .

1.  Make a brief summary of the entire story.

2,  Mention the good points.

3.  Give suggestion or recommendation.  If you think that there is something lacking or a room for improvement, say it in a constructive manner. In this manner you are helping the author to improve his/her writing.  Do not just criticize for the sake of criticizing.  For example, you may say: "I appreciate your style of presenting the plot, but I think that if you have shown the more vulnerable side of the main character, it would have been more exciting.  In general, the book is worth reading."  Giving all praises - unless the work is exceptional - is a kind of flattery and may not help improve the author.
