Numbers are important but balancing between need and return on business improvement is reason mostly lacking at the end of accountants.

Accountants are like the historian, they only record financial activities after the event, they see numbers, and measurable progress. They can't see potentials, nor people, this is their domain.

Their job is to present a healthy balance sheet.

Maybe we need to understand what they do and to present them with the numbers that they can understand, learn to talk their language by presenting them the measurable advantages and benefits of your project.
