What is slump and what are its standards?

Slump is measure of consistency of fresh concrete.Slump measurement is done to check the work-ability of concrete.

Slump standard is depend on design & trial mix of concrete.

In general 1) The concrete slump for the horizontal areas like ground slabs and suspended slabs shall be100 ±25 mm

 

 

2) The concrete slump for the vertical members upto3m height, the slump shall be125 ±25 mm

 

3) The concrete slump for the vertical members like walls or columns exceeds3 m heigh shall be175 ±25 mm
