My answer will be as follows:
Dear Mr ........ I totally agree with you but if you have the chance to buy our product, then i am sure you can compare both the products & services so that you will have an opportunity to understand which one on them offers you the best. Hope you will definitely agree with me.
My response would be:
I am not asking you to give me your business because I have not earned as they did. All I am asking is that you allow me to give you some valuable information about new developments in our industry over a quick30 minute meeting. Perhaps in time, I might be able also to earn some of your business. But in the mean time, the information will beneficial to you.
If the confidence of that customer is really from his heart--the only option left with us may be to give him a written request relaxing the terms and conditions and demanding a token order. Such requests are often not neglected by the business community in general.
This is a normal situation. Once you have been able to get through to the prospect, it is an opportunity to bring to their notice what you have and how it can be compared to the other available suppliers. Once that is done, drop your contacts and let them know that you will always be available for their service. You can as well leaev with them samples of your products for easy review and further consideration.
Simple. Close the line using the other hand keep the phone on your ear and call another prospect. (Attitude) Should always be positive
