in an professional business environment I have nothing to do in such situation, more clearly it is not my business. unless I do know the reason of their conflict, I will tell them, it may help them stop their conflict.
In such a question .. the ideal answer will be .. "i will support the person who is right" !!
BUT.. VIRTUALLY in most cases the person who is right is usually is the Colleague/Employee!!
what am saying is not a slander to managers at all. but it's normally truth according to many psychological reasons, according to the high pressure situations that may cause managers to be in a nervous attitudes most of time, and unfortunately according to many old wrong concepts about leadership which are still settling in the minds of many leaders. for instance, MANAGER should be strict all the time, MANAGER should not retreat his decisions... and so on.all these reasons may lead to injustice the employee because of simple conflict.
I will keep neutral in order to create possibilities to help them overcome the conflict.
I support the right person and i try to give them my point of vue about the real misunderstanding and solve the problem logically
If I enjoy a long standing good relationship with the persons I will try my level best to resolve the issue amicably otherwise keep impartial in the matter.
