Delivery skills.
You can have all the certificates in the world, but if your delivery is not engaging, creative and fun, the class won't pay attention, won't get involved, won't be engaged and won't want to learn.
They'll look forward to leaving and going home and that's not what you want in a class.

No Doubt.Delivery Skills but sure he/she should have knowledge about what he is delivering.

Without a doubt delivery skills...
Lets take an example of a math teacher who is a top graduate of one of his country's most leading universities, which clearly means that his is very smart person in math, but yet doesn't know anything about teaching, so take him into a classroom and let him teach math, the result : He will be as if though he is back at home solving math equations by himself without stimulating the students minds and engaging them in the process thus he is not a good teacher....
And on the other hand take the example of an ordinary student coming from an ordinary university but who's really passionate about teaching and has a natural tendency for it....
now take him to a class room, prepare him well, make sure he know's what to teach the students, and look at him shine ! That's what being a teacher is all about, it's not about being the smartest or the one who knows the most rather only about creating students who are smart and know more than others....

The more important in a teacher is delivery skills or what we say-pydagogy- We can not say that education certificates are not important but we find some teacher even they have certificates, they can not teach well. It is probably, teachers themselves became teacher through corruption or by cheating...etc.

I strongly am of the opinion that delivery skills are more important in a teacher than certificates because of the following reasons: a.
Delivery Skills is more important.
According to Encyclopedia Encarta, skill means the ability to do something well: the ability to do something well, usually gained through training or experience. It is common knowledge that 'experience' is the best teacher.
Therefore, Training+Experience = Best Teacher.
b.
Certification is important but experience has shown that practical skills get the job done not the certificate itself.
Some may reason that for one to be certified, one must have received some form off training but, the truth is, not all certificate holders actually possess teaching skills.
c.
The degree of skill acquired in any vocation will depend on interest shown as well as time spent on practical work.
d.
A certificate can be forged but practical skills can't be forged.
e.
A certified teacher who left school for a banking job for instance will lose whatever teaching skills he has.
Over a period of ten years, he will feel like an alien in the classroom but the practitioner who does not hold a professional certificate will still be relevant in the classroom.

An appropriate blend of both...:-) Knowledge (certificates) is "what" you need to deliver and Delivery Skills tell you "How" to deliver

Certificates are the basement but delivery skills are every thing. If you have these skills it means that you are motivated, creative, hard worker, a fun teacher, recourceful, well planned, committed and teaches from the heart and this is what it takes to be a great teacher.

Delivery skills of course....unfortunately many places always ask for certificates to hire people but if you gave it a second thought you'll find that if you had a million certificates but you lack the skills to deliver info to your students then you're just not qualified enough for the job....lemme put it this way, if u lack delivery skills you'll never catch your student's attention or engage them with you in class....This way you are just making them study to pass and get over with the subject or class which is not good...A GOOD teacher engages the students and her/his job is to make them love what they are learning....to learn not memorize....to look forward to the class....
