Overqualified has two answers :

1- Your expected salary is higher than what they plan to pay

2- Your experience is higher than what they are looking for.

Being overqualified means that your experience and skills far exceed what is needed. You're not the ideal match for the position because you might expect to have greater authority or challenging work than the role offers or you won't enjoy the position.

An advantage of hiring overqualified candidates, according to the HR recruitment agencies, is that they can get into full production sooner than the others that would bring in monetary benefits and minimize the efforts of those training the new joinees.

That means you have more experience and habilities than that the ones that they are looking for, that means the job will be small for you and probably you will look for another one which fits more on you and you will generate rotation to them.
