A true leader is one who creates more leaders not followers, having said that I meant that when you want to accomplish a job/task/project the key thing you should hold upon is team work and coordination with your team, if you have a good coordination with your team members you are being aware of there potential and you'll use them accordingly, and when you use people according to there abilities you'll sail through and gather applause from the crowd.
In my opinion Ideal winning team is nothing but just a desire and thought of everyone who need to complete the duties on time with quality. This question demonstrate dissatisfaction from the associated team members (not to specific person but in general) and lack of ownership.
If the team is not performing as desired then its equally the manager's fault. Projects are never given to those who can not handle them. For example a marketing project will be given to marking team only and not to the finance team. So if the manager is unable to derive the desired results then its his fault first and then his team. Be a leader not just a manager. Putting work on your team or someone particular in your team and asking for results is not right. You have to get involved with that one dedicated person or the entire team working on that project. One on one sessions and giving equal importance and respect to every team member and his/her thoughts is necessary. Its then unto you which thought to keep and deny. You may also figure out the best feature of each person / executive in your team. One might be good at demonstration, second with representation, third with language, forth with graphics, fifth with content and sixth with thoughts. So take work from the person who is best at.
And never forget to appreciate and thank and recognize. If they perform you will move and if you move then never forget them to be moved.
A Manager is one who manages and takes works from the team.
A Leader is one who molds the entire team into a direction of perfection.

A higher educated person with less experience and young can work more good then a low qualified with15 years experience. He will be doing job for earning money only but a young professional, highly qualified will work for growth and his passion for growth will take organization to higher levels.
