Marketing: Company takes the initiative and is a part of the Marketing strategy to approach the present and prospective customers. Here the company approaches the customer in turn customer turn to be the buyer.

In selling the relationship that of a buyer and seller--and the initiative is reciprocal--It would be better to say that the customer approaches you and you take care of the customer.

Sorry, but not agree.

Marketing is not one way street. Why? Because marketing is not advertising as many may think at first look.

Marketing is adequate way of bringing the product/service to targeted group of customers. It is often two way street. What i mean is ,that during that process of bringing the product/service to customer, a lot of research and market observation is conducted. Market research usually involves interaction with potential customers in future. Otherwise, how possibly we can determine our area catchment, target groups, market potential?

Definitely, marketing and selling are both two way communication.

Marketing communication is to spread the message to be absorbed among the target audience. Selling involves two way consultative approach: Need identification and Solution to meet the identified need.

Disagree completely, as both marketing and sales are2-way communication processes, as both have to take into account the customer's feedback.

The main difference is that in sales there is immediate feedback (you say something and your customer immediately replies) as in marketing you put together your marketing strategy and the customer presents his/her feedback in a future moment in time.

But in both cases you have a set of interactions (in a sale you have a set of conversations, for example) and in both you receive and take into account the customer's feedback in order to prepare you response.

That is old philosophy now marketing is more customer specific and for that one way communication ll fail to bring long lasting results.

Effective communication should be interactive and proactive

between an emitter and a receiver it needs two ways.

True.

One-way communication is not an interactive mode, which is related to marketing.

But selling is an interactive mode, i.e., it is a two-way communication.

Thanks.

Sorry Syed Rafat

I disagree with this argument because the marketing is the relationship between the parties is the marketer and the customer is the search marketing is about customer requirements to meet him and the sales process is the relationship between the parties as reported Excellency

Marketing is a process where Companies developed products has to be strongly presented to the customer it needs a strong presentation of the marketing   team to showcase the product.

The person who sells the product to the customer is a mediator to the company and the customer.Important here is taking care of the customer and automatically companies care would be done.
