Customer is a person who buys the good from seller.
Client is to be developed, with relation, i.e. personal relation, business relation, advise, helping them to decide the service or goods they need and best to suit their requirement or specification.

Word client is used for a person/entity to whome you are rendering your services. Whereas Customer is term is used for a person/entity to whom you are selling your goods.

Customer = to whom you need to keep their loyalty.
Ambassador= to whom you want to encourage them to promote & defend your business.
Any how, focus on your current customers/clients/embassadors instead of trying to get new ones. (Study: +40% of revenue is generated from your current buyers)
