Well to manage your team and keep them motivated you need to do the following

  1. understand each individual his or her own traits and motivational factors.
  2. Coach them to realize their potential
  3. Be calm and give them time to learn and improve.
  4. treat each individual with respect and deal with them as you would  expect your superior to deal with you.
  5. send them for training programs
  6. Evaluate them at regular intervals and set improvement goals.
  7. Set objectives for them each year.
  8. Measure performance in transparent manner.
  9. Encourage healthy competition.
  10. Reward  them based on performance.
  11. Always provide words  of encouragement.
