To my opinion you need to be honest with the consumers in terms of product reality because lying to consumers about the product isn't advisable and acceptable in sales. In case the quality of the product can not be improved, i would suggest you to go for DISCOUNT TRADING and CO-PROMOTION with a bigger brand.
Either give heavy discounts to consume the stocks or
give it free with others strong brands or
make minimum profits for your survival
That depend upon category of product. i ll try it to place or sell through big retailer , whole sellers or portals with special discounts. run a sales campaign where product can be associated with other like buy one and get this product at free or half price. introduce buy now and pay tomorrow campaign .
Concentrate on sales campaigns what can be effective in relevant market and target clients.
I think the best way to keep the product in the market by reducing the cost, opening new market or going in promotion to move things ahead
My advise is to search a need in the market either remarket your Product or services. Do some value addition in your product and offer to your direct or indirect customer.
Low pricing offers is your failure to target the market.
First of all we always should do proper marketing before purchasing a product, second to test the market by sampling the product in the showrooms or exhibitions,3rd, purchase in lower quantity, and if successful then go for more volume,
However There are couple ways to survive crisis as such, reducing cost of course is always a way to cut losses but not necessary the best way. Without losing track of time1- first we should see if we can whole sale the product or returning to the manufacturer for a minor loss.2- To market for a successful company that you can merge and mix the product.3- to improve the product such as attractive packaging,4- Advertising in proper market.5- Export the product to different cities or countries that may be a better place to sell, and many more ideas as such
There are2 factors in this content. one is product and the second one is market. for a company, to achieve its goal , A product/service is vital. There may be several reason for not getting to face the market. e.g they are;
Quality of the product, Quantity of the product, Price of the product, competition in the same category, need for the product. satisfaction of consumers etc
So, you will have to find which of these factors are badly affecting the product in the market.
And about the Market; The market is the place where you can sell your product and achieve your company's goal, there are some important factors affecting the market directly. they are e.g size, style, custom, area, needs of the public etc. So, you will have to analyze whether your product is acceptable in the current market where you are trying to sell it or where is the problem lying, whether its with your product or with the market you choose.
Once you get the answer for these questions, you may rework on your strategies and introduce your product into the desirable and use appropriate marketing strategy ( discount, lower price, buy2 get1 free etc.)
