A good teacher makes his students get good grades, even though the students forget all the information the next day after the test. A great teacher will help you understand the basic idea, not just make them memorize it, so after many years, the students will still have a great knowledge base.

A good teacher practically helps a child in the understanding and applying of what is being taught; the great teacher does this while also instilling a passion and genuine interest in the subject which goes beyond the classroom and into life.

A good teacher can pass on the knowledge and even get the student to do well academically, but a Great Teacher is someone who inspires."The Great Teacher" Inspires  students to be something more, than what one can achieve ,beyond what is being taught, and explore the best possibilities of that individual, so much so that even after they are long gone, their teaching serves the student ,someway in their life.
