First of all I don't think that blogging is dying, people will always read things and if there's someone the reader trusts who writes, he/she takes it as an advantage.

That being said, I don't think blogging is a waste of time, it's always a way to challenge yourself, trying to improve your way of writing online, see if people like what you write and it's also a good way to open discussions and compete (in a positive way) with other specialist of your sector and your readers.

hope I answered to your question efficiently

There is a misconception, in fact a confusion that blogging is dying, that has risen due to the popularity of

  • Twitter
  • Youtube and its likes

That is primarily due to youtube being a video medium and Twitter's restriction to140 characters.

If I was to contest my own statement, I could say that it is declining as a trend because this decade is all about sharing, so rather then original content being blogged or critiqued. Today net surfers, younger bloggers and emerging businesses like to report.

  • Content Curation
  • Content Aggregation

One of the most popular forms of blogging is content marketing, which is the reason why so many businesses have let go of their corporate websites. While netizens are moving away from blogging to other formats as I mentioned above.

  1. No you are not wasting your time, you just need to adapt to the demands of your influencers.
  2. Corporate blogging is here to stay.

Blogging becomes very important in the Western world, unlike the Arab world.

So you have to open your eyes to the Western world and then choose topics that matter to the Arab society.

Blogging is not dying. It has evolved and become one of the major components of online marketing. readers have become more choosy and catering to their needs is now much more than just writing blog posts.

No. A person is not wasting time by blogging until he/she has no clue about what he/she wants to achieve.

No, Blogging isn't dying its just a misconception. The ways of blogging is constantly evolving. As the algorithms for indexing and ranking are constantly updated by google and other search engines equivalent measures should be taken in the blogging side too so that it can match the standards to stay in the competition.

I don't think that blogging is going to dye. If its over then why multinational companies are sharing their updates through blogs. The only thing that increases the popularity of your blog is your writing style. If you are doing it in a conversational tone then you can get the lead for sure.
