Explain in reference to your new job, where you have to communicate to them new system you want to introduce and they are stressing on sticking to old systems.

For a change there would always be some resistance as the transformation change involve a work load and net outcome may be ease of work and work pressure. Initial efforts may be focused how the new system could bring change and benefit them in a convincing manner and and take them in good faith and control in a participatory way.
We must understand that what are the reasons of resistance, we should conduct interviews with those peoples and try to convince them by explaining change dynamics and its benefits.
The most important thing is to first get support from top leadership by convincing them, others will settle down with time being.
seminar is the key to introduce a new system. employees will have better understanding of a new system
Like others have said, senior management support is necessary. Secondly, the changes should always be introduced in steps. The teams need to be on board for the change to be successful. You can get the teams on your side by explaining how the changes will affect them directly, focus on improvements, and available supports such as training for new systems. Get their suggestions on how they would like the change to be introduced.
This is the nature of human beings when there is a change
Can happen
* - the staging "step by step"
* - Show features the idea
* - Clarity
* - Stimulate obedient
* - Patience
Resistance always come from old guard....Always changes come with fear...unknown....it's normal feeling. So you have to understand why they fear? are ther fear from loosing some power, new systems with no expereinces, end users will refuse the system & they will return the heat to their managers...etc.
Then you have to visit them at their offices...talk to people abut the new system & what the benfits every one will get & the organaization too. Talk as one team & you need to send them an introduction/summary about the system>>>>also you have to conduct a training event for all people.
Finally, you should get the top managment support.
I would recommend to discuss and suggest the pros & cons to change the system, so employee can clearly identify the identity of their organization to lead among competitors.
Focus on consistently delivering work!
