Do you think that speed money in Procurement, which is wrong from ethical point of view, really speeds up processes and increase value in Suppl Chain?

Unfortunately yes it works as far as no body get noticed and caught. Once highlighted the career of corrupt people and supplier will be debarred from the business chains. So better to follow the rules and standards.

no , because the requester get accustomed to it and can sell you if somebody offers more, and your reputation as company and as your personal reputation will be affected.

In any case speed money can't increase any value neither in supply chain nor in any core commercial on long term basis. Unfortunately it might work on for some cases but its ruin personal as well as organisational reputation. Individual will loose management faith. supplier will also get blacklisted from the organisation.

Yes, it can speed up the processes and can increase values in supply chain for a certain period of time but it can't support either side longer due to its hollow foundation. It has devastating effects to the organization in the long run.This unethical process only begins with incompetent Purchasing Managers & Supervisors.

I understand that the speed money is not only in the form of bribe you can say, but you can give some kind of gifts like calenders, souvenirs & something like that which can be help out when you need & persons will expedite to solve your problems & many times to speedup to complete process.

In the Pakistan environment there is a issue exists name "MOST URGENT" in the situation you have short time & big tasks & management wants to complete the task by hook or by crook in the given time, so in that case some time you need to spent some speed money to expedite the processes.
