La délégation du pouvoir est une nécessite,un responsable ne peut pas faire le travail tout seul car le travail se fait une équipe; une délégation d pouvoir demande un suivi de la part du responsable et un esprit plus ouvert aux aux autres.

The delegation of power is a necessity, a manager can not do the job alone because work is a team; a delegation of power requires monitoring by responsible and a more open mind to the other.

For me delegation has never been about authority but about time management and resource development, hence an efficient communication mechanism is essential for delegation, also always assume that though you have delegated the responsibility to someone else full responsibility is always yours Lastly. If you are continuously evolving the resource and the authority would always respect you, so be aware and evolve.

delegation means you are strengthening yourself but at the same time responsibility still lies with you. So always have intelligent people around you.without any fear.

Tarini, though you have answered the question well, you forget one most important point. Never fear to delegate for the risk of losing your position. If you have chosen your team well, then delegation should flow naturally. Most leaders dont delegate because of the fear of a subordinate out shining them. But if you are good in your work, you dont need to have this fear and instead delegate boldly.

Delegating work actually commands respect and the team members start looking up to you with awe and respect and that is the ultimate goal of a leader !

No man will be a great leader who wants to do all by himself

Risks of delegation can be reduced by some of below points

- Set a deadline to ensure tasks are completed on time or before time and there is scope for feedback before final work is to be submitted

- make sure tasks are clearly understood by subordinates. Encourage questions

- Follow up to know progress is being made

- provide training so that subordinates can acquire skills to perform certain tasks

- increase involvement of subordinates in the form of meetings etc so they are more aware and have greater understanding of current issues and processes
