Can employee take leave during his notice period?

As Company rules.It all depends on the relationship the employee has with the Company...Employee is expected to give notice period so that they complete the work & hand over the same to some one..

It's depends upon position. Sometimes it is important to follow rule of1 month notice period because of importance of work, handover to replacement. Management is responsible for taking decision about such condition.

It differs from Company to Company. Most companies have a policy that you cannot take leave during the notice period, however they will pay you for the unused leave.

No, but exceptional cases like death incidents or medical mergencies we can consider the leave. But notice period will be extended according to the number leave days availed.
