Would you teach the class a part of YOUR history out of the book which has been erased, tainted, exaggerated or demonized?

History is always rewritten. What I read in my history books as a child is no longer included in modern days history. How would you react to chapter of the text book that has invalid information? Would you still teach it or tell student that the author is lying? How do you handle this situation? :/
