Target has advantages and disadvantages . The number of positions also means that you can choose what you want to do instead of being stuck with a position you don't like. You always have to be smiling, kind, and courteous. Target is not the best fit for everybody- there is the pros and cons according to your financial needs, as well as your personality traits.

Yes working against targets is important to make you motivated and ignited.  It creates a goal for you to reach and gives you a great satisfaction when you reach it.  It is a great way to motivate employees, to always set a little bit difficult to achieve target but not impossible so when reached satisfaction and motivation would be great.

Could anyone imagine how selling without targets would be? Anything besides job. Working without targets would be an art, but not a job.

Targets are the most clear definition of challenge. I like challenges, especially when they are clearly defined.
