In terms to the vitroceramic, only the manufacturing process differs both.A glass-ceramic is a glass molten so that the recrystallized partially.You should know that porcelain is not fully crystallized and can contain more vitreous phase that some glass.However, its production process is different as it is created by sintering and not fusion but if there during sintering of a liquid phase which will give the glassy phase-cooled.All this is only a matter of name, but their very close composition gives the glasses and "ceramic" properties of very close in some aspects.
