Good evening. In my opinion, in price fluctuating market you should think of earning small profit as compare to high profit but you should focus to sell more volume. If these strategy will apply then you can sustain in the market. Also, it depends on brand image too. If it is good then you're product doesn't affect much with price fluctuations. After all business is a gamble, you have to be low in price as compare to your competitor but earn more margin. This is not always possible so you should support your product by good post purchase service and customer relationship. Since, which make customer to buy back product as well as do free marking for product.
