Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally.It includes the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking.Someone with critical thinking skills is able to do the following:
>>>understand the logical connections between ideas
>>>identify, construct and evaluate arguments
>>>detect inconsistencies and common mistakes in reasoning
>>>solve problems systematically
>>>identify the relevance and importance of ideas
>>>reflect on the justification of one's own beliefs and values
>>>Critical thinking is not a matter of accumulating information.
A person with a good memory and who knows a lot of facts is not necessarily good at critical thinking. A critical thinker is able to deduce consequences from what he knows, and he knows how to make use of information to solve problems, and to seek relevant sources of information to inform himself.
Then what to Manage?!!!
I can manage by the ways below :-
1) Exploring my potential qualities at each and every step of working.
2) Coaching them working in technically developed ways.
3) Making them understand the values of their job.
4) Making them understand my significant role in the organization.
5) Sharing my beliefs, thoughts and positive thinking with them .
6) Advising them in their personal matters.
7) Monitoring them accordingly.
I would take it as a pert of the H.R. tasks; training & development. How to empower such thinking? By training, case studies, real life examples, problems vs. solutions, brainteasers, and other practices. I would select either to introduce it as extensive program for one month straight, or a lighter weight program extending for4 months with one hour of training daily except weekends (tests and assignments will be administrated also with a set of rewards to encourage employees)
1. Understand the context.
2. Assess the quality of Knowledge, skills and ability.
3. Give mentoring on specific skills.
4. Develop value add system creatively.
5. Increase the scope of Learning & Development opportunity.
6. Ensure professionalism.
There are myriad ways that can help manage critical thinking, but I think the most important thing is to practice, after practice, decision analysis.
