I believe in the current job climate finding a good job is slightly harder.
Obviously if you are incredible at what you do you will be snapped up.
But sometimes incredible doesn't cut it.
Now a days, companies are looking for a full package.
They want people who can do anything and everything without much training.
They want recruitments to be cheap and easy, with a basic style that won't need much moulding.
I'm not saying this happens all the time, but it does happen a lot.
That leaves the specialists without a place to go as sometimes companies don't want just a web designer, or just a print designer, or just an illustrator.
They also don't want someone with too much of an quirky style as that will mean a conflict of interest.
I do believe however that there are still companies out there willing to take a risk and go for those who are different and edgy and incomplete.
It just depends on where you're at, what you want to do, and who you're applying for.
It's not impossible, but with a bit of hard work you can find a good or even great job.

If you believe in what you are doing, after a lot of rain,i am sure the sun will rise.
In my opinion,it's not only about how good you are in graphics but it's also about luck and the way and vision have the company you are applying at.and because in life nothing is fair, always the unprofessional person gets the job, with all respect for all the people.

no its hard, cause a good graphic designer is an artist and the things he do is passion not just a mere job.
So we choose who look at as if were just an operator or an artist.

Even the biggest brands across the world struggle to stay in the lead.
And to stay on top, you have to be the best, and make sure you are noticed for your credibility.
The rest should take its course.
