Network Layer is responsible for Routing and Forward Data in One Network to Another Network or Internet. Network Layer is L3 in OSI Model.
In the seven-layer OSI model of computer networking, the network layer is layer3. The network layer is responsible for packet forwarding including routing through intermediate routers, whereas the data link layer is responsible for media access control, flow control and error checking.
Network layer is the3rd layer of OSI model where we can do logical addressing, routing, path determination.

Network (Layer3)
This layer provides switching and routing technologies, creating logical paths, known as virtual circuits, for transmitting data from node to node. Routing and forwarding are functions of this layer, as well as addressing, inter-networking, error handling, congestion control and packet sequencing.
- Layer3 Network examples include AppleTalk DDP, IP, IPX.
