Being a teacher, what are some goals would you expected from the students?

Well, first of all the basic goals, such as good class performance, good exam results, etc...
but a little extra I would like to go for is - and these are things that could be found in students on an individual level- : a growing interest in the subject i'm teaching which leads to it being their choice in pursuing their education, also smart and puzzling questions and remarks during class or in their written work which shows a high level of understanding of the material as well as creative and critical thinking.
