Irina, we in HR are totally aware of the social media recruitment and i have been effectively utilizing various platform of social media. We aggressively used FB for fresh job and college level students for internship, MTO and entry level job. We are using LI for experience and corporate level employees and now the traditional sources have been going down as more and more employers are using social media. Twitter is another popular media for having effective workforce with us.

HR has a wide role. While social media is gonna be future of R & S, HR need to play the role of marketing as it must know who should be recruited and why?
Yes indeed there must be use of social media not only for recruitment , its use should not be confined only to recruitment , but also for some healthy exchanges of real time HR problems and cases with solutions from hr perspective, it will leverage the learning process of HR concepts
