HR colleagues need to raise their awareness and skills to keep pace with the market... and the expected higher skills of using social media and networking. Certainly I feel HR people are poorly networked in their respective industries.

Irina, we in HR are totally aware of the social media recruitment and i have been effectively utilizing various platform of social media. We aggressively used FB for fresh job and college level students for internship, MTO and entry level job. We are using LI for experience and corporate level employees and now the traditional sources have been going down as more and more employers are using social media. Twitter is another popular media for having effective workforce with us.
