Certified business analyst certification is for different field other than the project management. It is valuable when you are in business field, whereas PMP is valuable when you are in project management field. Both have their own credibility. Value depends on the field of work. No certification can add up value, if the knowledge not implemented practically.
Currently, a PMP certification is more widely recognized than a CBA certification. Also, Project Managers tend to make more per year than Business Analysts. (It is often the case that Project Managers use Business Analysts on their teams, but not vice versa.) So, to answer this question as simply as possible, a PMP could be more valuable. The more complex answer would be to try to answer "To whom is a PMP certification more valuable than a CBA certification?" It depends on the position you aspire to. If you want to be a world class business analyst, a CBA certification would be more valuable to you than a PMP certification. If you were an employer looking for an excellent project manager, a PMP certification would be more highly regarded on the resume than a CBA certification. So, in the long run, the value on the type of certification depends on what you're ultimately looking
I agree with Mr. Muhammad Usman Tariq but as engineers I think PMP is more valuable and more important.
I agree with friends Dahiya & Tariq.
I think the questioner was asking from career angle.
It is true that PMP certificate is more broadly known and acknowledged but this doesn't mean that its va;ue is better in general. As Mr. Muhammad Osman says, both certificates have their own credibility but value depends on the field of work.
