Facebook and Twitter and all the social networking sites Tattabraduat important in increasing sales and marketing

The trends are changing, recent studies shows that facebook Ads are picking up sales.
Starbucks would be an example.
There are always hiccups when something in launched, but in time things are settled, so now most of the companies are focused both on branding as well as sales.
Nice Ads with offers as usual should do the job and as always good segmentation too.

Hi Narine, Good Question, here are some tips: **On The Facebook Platform** - Compare right column ads and sponsored news feed ads performance, studies show news feeds ads convert more, but this is not a must, I suggest you do your own experiments.
- Go with he classic ad tips (try different ad formats, colors, text and images until you reach the best converting design/structure).
- Target your audience, if your a local business in Kuwait there is no logic of targeting people outside Kuwait, while no sense of targeting young people -less than1
8- if your selling new cars!, dont forget gender targeting if your product is a gender specific product.
- If you believe you are advertising a good selling product, then optimize for clicks, especially if you are sending people to a direct-but page.
- Its important to setup conversion tracking on your website, a smart advertiser will collect data on how users are responding to ads, what they do on your website.
- Try to find the more converting time/period of the day, run your ads at that time, this may help in reducing ad cost also.
- You may provide some special offers/coupons for users coming from Facebook! **Off The Facebook Platform** - Make sure you have a light/well designed and informative landing page.
- Landing page should be loading SUPER FAST.
- Make sure to provide a clear/easy to remember contact details, people may buy later.
- Try to find some way to reconnect with users who visited your pages but did not buy.
- Again, track conversions, and users behavior on your website pages.
Good Luck.

I would actually beg to differ with your statement that most companies use facebook for branding purpose. I believe thats a false assumption to make. In my experience, all the companies I have worked with have used facebook as a tool to promote sales indirectly. It is one of the fundamental drivers to generate sales leads in today's world. Especially the B2B industry. If you closely analyse most of the successful campaigns (even the ones run by B2C companies), the objective is not just increasing likes or impressions, its usually centred around specific call to action (PPA - pay per action/ pay per lead/ conversions etc). So, facebook can really help generate sales in addition to creating brand awareness and brand building.

It depends on who's your target segments and what do you really offer.
For instance, F&B, Facebook becomes one of the most profitable investment nowadays! the conversion rate always high! With a personal experience, I have been lately experience new places only through Facebook pages/ads...
You really need to know the nature of the target consumers..
In general, social media users get influenced more by graphics and visuals specially if you offering something to sell.
Using these techniques, you can sell the air itself! :-)

Facebook can be used to drive sales but it requires extra time, effort and money.
Here's how it can be done:1.
Run a special promotion offer and give people vouchers/codes they can redeem offline/online within a stipulated period only.2.
Run contests to collect fan email ids.
Then send them promotional newsletters.3.
Ask fans what would they like to buy from you and give them a reason to do so.
For e.g.
a special discount only on certain products.4.
Run 'Promoted Posts' to reach more of your fan base.
On an average any Facebook page reaches only16% of its fans so you will have to spend some money to reach at least50% of them.(sad but true).

You can always drive sales using social media if you properly do the following:1.
You can drive the users to your website and product pages using Advertising campaigns2.
Make sure you track the URLs and conversion of those campaigns (e.g.
a purchase button could be the conversion point) to measure ROI3.
Make sure the content is relevant and attractive for users4.
Finally, make sure you target the right audience Hope this helps.

Agree with Alaa AlHamdan.
Plus Develop a social media marketing strategy.
Make short-term (week) and long-term (6-months) goals to see if your strategy works fine.
Optimize your ads, Monitor traffic behaviour and their level of engagement, Measure to see if it meets your goals.
Offering special price / free shipping / demo kit etc will just work great (assuming you are not selling cars / homes)
