I like to work with both. I learn from the experienced professional and pass it on to the inexperienced.
Experience would win over the intellectuality, now the problem is the less feedback from the experienced coworker that means less use of his or her experience.
Probably I would take a professional with better intelctual but inexperienced training.
I will prefer the experienced one even with the low feedback. Human brain can be trained and it depends upon nature, modality, quality and timing of question we ask. I know i can make him speak on what i want. That's all what is required. Once we are on the same page, we are the best co-worker.
