for3 reasons: - Economically: It total change in Core network, since it is not3GPP based, means alot of money.
- Socially: It comes little late to our region while LTE started to be applied internationally.
- Technically: It has alot of problem in RF part, such as it is very sensitivity orthogonality.

Access technology is driven by User terminals and we know that mobile phones manafacturing is driven by big GSM companies. GSM guys have not placed orders for Wi-max enabled handsets because they want to promote LTE enabled handsets and havenot invested in this new version of technology.
