Facts concealing the truths, or going negative with him will have an adverse impact on the relationship and may loose the customer. Just have a smile, and accept his comments happily.

The main aim of a marketing executive is to convince the customer of the product by bringing out the 'Best of the Product' while the customer shoots with a difficult question of the product. I would intilaly listen to him and start with telling him that i understand your keen concern regarding the product and make the customer feel that i empathize his concern and would make him feel that i would not rupture his trust and the customer will surely buy my negotiation regarding his query even though if i have not answered him hundred percent.
Tool used here is- Empathize your customer and build a trust between the customer and the Marketer.
I guess the best way to deal with the hard question is by asking the customer for a moment and then approach your seniors with the question for an answer.
I am telling the customer the truth, however I will add I will find out for you and do ask some one which has a larger knowledge about the item and get back to my customer
