in the beginning, it is inevitable for a student to make mistakes and corrective behavior right from the beginning would not be an effective approach. rather a comparative approach may work. for example after a student's presentation (oral/written), they may be provided with a sample to compare and see if their work requires improvement. this would neither discourage them nor embarrass them.
