How does a person with MSc finance (company analysis) and with background in accounting/finance lecturing, get into the fundamental research career?

I have a good understanding of computer industry and applied for research, but they only ask for senior positions.

I think you should start with a proffssional certificate related to the field such as CFA and shifting your career path toward junior levels in investment, portfolio, or asset management.
your accounting background is an advantage not a drawback.
good luck
