Monitoring it self doesn't enhance workers productivity. However monitoring supplemented with proper measurement of achievement and continuous constructive feedback are powerful tools to enhance, steer and manage performance.
Monitoring will enhance workers based on the customization technique they do. There are some monitoring tools like Kibana, Nagios, Solarwinds, PRTG.
In Kibana, we can write API codes to import production data, and we can visualize according to busniess needs which doesnt lead to production outage. Same applies for Nagios.
Solarwinds and PRTG are the network Monitoring tools where we can monitor the Live production traffic, network device status. An alert can be triggered to an official email whenever a network node goes down. This may help to move the traffic to other MPLS when the Primary circuit is down.
Monitoring is a good tool especially to emplyees to enhance their capacity and capability of working.
It help employees to a better peformance for their job , when you monitor them especially if they got someting wrong in their way, then they should be corrected to gain more knowledge and what is good.

It allows mistakes and/or errors to be corrected apart from the impression created that watchful eyes are on the employees. Much as employees would like to be corrected for mistakes made, monitoring also allows employees to know the progress they are making.

Setting targets and helping them to achieve their goals, performance review every end of the quarter, training, and appreciating their efforts, are the best ways to enhance productivity
