Yes, I record it on daily basis and study the cause of impact - Whether the impact is positive or negative, it helps me understand the reason to drive performance further and also analyse my self on whether/how far can/should the team be pushed further for achievement.

We do it monthly! Every month there's a review meeting held & performance is reviewed against set KPI's.

Measuring KPI/KRA requires recording of the concerned incident as it occurs; i.e. loading efficiency would require monitoring the number of trucks loaded, time taken for loading, type of loads, etc.  It would help greatly in this case here if additional criteria were graded, e.g. loading would easier for bulk loads while a load with multiple routes would take longer and this would affect overall numbers.

All in all there is a need for accuracy, continuity, and sincerity in recording data in order to succeed with KPI/KRA reporting and analysis.

There are two things

1. one you can count and that does " count" for that KPis are best effective measures.

2. there are things which " counts" but cannot be counted, for instance motivation level of a person, for that we need subjective analysis.

in my opinion, KPIs must be analyzed with subjective reports also, numbers alone are not sufficient.

Yes, we are trying monthly for each department and whole half yearly to assess the actual feature of the achievements against KPI.

It really depends on the KPIs and what kind of measures you've set. Some KPIs should be measured monthly or even weekly and daily, while others can be measured quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.
