* Visual Inspection
* Dimensional Testing
* Dye Penetration Inspection Method
* Ultrasonic Testing
* Radiographic Examination
Those techniques and tests are used with welded joints, I want also to answer Mr. Kinsbergen's Question about the availability of those methods in Gulf: Yes all of them are available in Gulf and in the middle east.
Yes, I agree, all tests for welded joints, but are they all available in the Gulf?
Absolutely they are all NDT (Non Destructive Testing) methods used for welded joints.
Visual inspection :inspector will check the equipements visually to make sure it has not been hit during handlind or transportation or present any visible defect at the surface
-Dimensional test to verify actual dimension vs those one in the drawings
-Dye Penetration inspection method or "liquid penetrant' to check if the weld is OK or not.
-Ultrasonic testing is used also to verify if there are cracks or not .
-Radiographic examination is used to see in a radio the weld and to determine any defect on it
I have another vision of the question:
* Visual Inspection: to detect the apparently seen defaults.
* Dimensional Testing: to comply with the standard dimensions and discover the variation
* Dye Penetration Inspection Method: to inspect the changes of the material used.
* Ultrasonic Testing: to detect the solidity and evacuation gaps in depth.
* Radiographic Examination: to detect the isomers and metal detection.
I tend to agree with Ayoub Tartir.
I agree with Mr. Ayoub Tartir and all which have chosen the answer welding inspections
As my colleagues answers
These inspections for welded joints
These are the techniques which are followed for welding inspection
,and they differentiate according to the application and the type of welding
and there are certain types of instruments to be used for each inspection
I agree with you MR LABIB ,since you have the question and the answer .
