For Windows, you can try ReconstructMe.net, which is an all-in-one program, that has a non-commercial version.
As an alternative, there is also Skanect.

Well I don't have an experience about 3d scanning but you can check this tutorial by digital tutors you may have an answer http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/1045-Scan-3D-Models-from-Photos-in-123D-Catch-and-3ds-Max the program called 123D Catch it can scan 3d model from pictures
