dear Sivadasan, Whether our top ranking helps or not in securing employment, it definitely provides an opportunity to revisit the various subjects and as such is a right step in ensuring consolidation, growth of knowledge and as a result provides an avenue for improvement in skills.
The very fact that you acquire knowledge is reward enough by itself.
When you pay attention to the questions, even without attempting to answer the various questions raised by fellow members, ones antenna is up and one become aware of what is happening around and at times it is humbling to know that there are more knowledgeable people and this realization also goads one to seek knowledge.
You may say we can study and acquire knowledge by ourselves and why do we need this forum! I for one believe , this is a more social and professional way to reach out to people and share / gain knowledge and other information that could be used in daily life / work life

I would say : Yes, because you get higher rank in an speciality because different people with good experience and knowledge in the same speciality endorse or support your question or answer, and that means you are endorsed and admitted qualified , then chances to obtain jobs with theis speciality are greater.

More than getting ranked at the top, i think by browsing through the network and working through the questions and answers, we shall be able to better understand the status of our industries, what our prospective peers think of etc...
Also i think this will assist us in brushing up ourselves, as a question can be posed and answered by any one in your field of interest regardless of anything...

I think a simple answer is YES. Since a large number of employers are constantly viewing candidates on Bayt.com, they are also exposed to the various specialties that each candidate possesses. Further, like some of the other members have mentioned, this approach allows users to refresh their knowledge on topics they have already learned about in the past. Lastly, it is great learning experience for new members and freshers.
