Even a person to excel professionally has to develop and practice the above characteristics. An athlete or sports persons in general have the ability to succeed professionally as well. Because he or she:1. Plays the game for the game’s sake.2. Plays for his side and not for himself.3. Is a good winner and a good loser, ie modest in victory and generous in defeat.4. Accepts all decisions in a proper spirit.5. Is chivalrous towards a defeated opponent.6. Is unselfish and always ready to help others to become proficient.7. Yes because a sportsman has more temperament than others. He can handle situations better than others and this results in addition of value to your professional success.
Sports teaches us discipline and being consistent. When you fail you find it within yourself the will to try till you succeed. That principle when applied in work environment means when faced with a problem you persist till you find a solution. Also discipline means your honour other people and your time.
