In my organization, we commonly used term stock items

1. Stock items : Further classified into raw materials (Meat, Poultry,etc), Species, Boxes , cartons etc. also based on the purchase and lead time, we used terms like import and based on production use it is further classified into fresh, chilled , frozen, dry etc.
