Most of the time searching relevant items from internet is time saving method. Please elaborate your way or style of work. Thanks
Mine is:
- Analyze the requirements to set strategies of tasks
- Research and mode boards for relevant subject
- Draw the conceptual sketches to develop visual communication
- Writing scenario and draw storyboards if we got a narrative design
*Start* with a prototype to cover/manage the risk
I agree with you Mr. Ali Faisal, I also prepare the check list before start of any project to understand the requirement of relevant project. Make some ideas, some raw hand layouts and write down a small brief of project on paper and start but sometimes starting a new design project is a piece of cake. You have lot of amazing ideas and the design to start the project.
the most important thing for me is "Planning".
for example, If I have4 weeks to finish any project, I have no problem of spending like3 to5 days planning for every detailed points.
After understanding the requirements, I would say the number one thing I would do is collect reference, not only to model, but also for textures and even study other people's work to study best topology practices, not to mention inspiration for designs and lighting/rendering styles. Depending on the project I could design it either on paper/photoshop or straight in3D (sometimes sculpting packages like Zbrush can be more useful as a start than classic drawings). I then take the time to think of how to go about it to make sure my topology is clean and easy to unwrap and texture. Then start :D .
I start by identifying the project, analyses it in terms of viability and risks involved. The write a complete proposal of how to implement the real project. After proposal, i engage into implementation.
