At this point, its all about marketing yourself a that means personal banding. Here is a chart that anyone can use to work on their own personal brand helping anyone to sell themselves and their word. Personal Banding Canvas

As far as I am concerned, I use the social networks Facebook, Twitter, Quora and Slideshare.

I also do a lot of what I call "side-track journalism", which is though leadership in the form of reviews and opinion editorials on various sites using Disqus and Livefyre.

I have answered another similar question, hence putting the same answer here.If your blog has subscribers (in other words an email list) then use email marketing. Despite the roaring rise of social media, the good old email is still effective in getting your content in front of your audience right in their inbox.Promote the new content on Twitter, Facebook. If you have a blog which deals with creative visual art then add Pinterest to it.Comment on blog posts that are related to the new content and get the attention of readers on those blogs (this strictly means no spamming and adding meaningful bit to the conversation).
