Event viewer which is a smarter way to have the notes about errors and the warnings of the operating system. You reach the event viewer through Administrative tool ->Event viewer there you have the logs of issues related to many different things most common place to look around in Windows logs where you have logs related to issues in applications, setup, security or system where you have the error or warning details from where you drill down the problem(either google or solve it as per ur experience). You can save the individual log just by right clicking on the log or export the table details. you can either go to windows\\system32\\winevt\\logs to have all your logs
