directional control valve are most fundamental parts in hydraulic machinery the allow fluid fllow into diffrent paths from one or more source they usually consists of a spool in side cylender  wich is mechanically or electrically controlled

Hand lever directional control valve, solenoid operated directional control valve. The valve will have different types of spools such as C,E,G,J,H S depending upon the application.The cdirectional control valve will have two package system or three package system.

2. Based on actuation used.

 

Based on the number of inlet & outlet Port the types are :

a)2/2 Valve

b)3/2 Valve

c)4/2 Valve

d)5/2 Valve

e)5/3 Valve

 

Based on the actuation used types are:

a) Solenoid operated (Electrical)

b) Pilot operated (Operated by Air)

c) Ultrasonic 

d) Mechanically operated 

e) Manually operated
