As archicad supports interoperability from1996,when IAI international alliance for interperabilty.And according to me archicad have more acess to IFC(industry foundation class) which is ISO certified file format to transfer data between different stake holders of facility management.IFC2*3 format is the latest version of IFC by buildingsmart technologies..if you are a power user you are more tempted to controlabilty IFC format...and in this process you directly link in your BIM model to sync with your energy simulation software for less assumed results which you do in the convential energy modelling...More over Revit does not support IFC file managing...whereas in archicad u can add the data specific to your domain of concern...and avoid the repetitive data input into the energy modelling software...and more thing energy modelling,BIM is not only concerned with autodesk or graphisoft...we must seek into the BIM process to understand which is method is good for us...And with the help of IFC format data exchange you can do nD analysis on your single BIM model thats the power of IFC and BIM....
